Like you, I am one of those people who follows all of their favorite food bloggers collecting recipes and information that can help us lead healthier lifestyles for whatever reasons we may have. While I have been following all of these food bloggers, I really found myself wanting to be one of them too. I can’t even begin to count all of the cookbooks I have from each of the bloggers I follow. How could you not want to be just like one of them too when you flip through the pages of their incredible looking dishes that they just seem to create out of thin air.
So here I am – Kitchen Vixxen! I usually go by Marilee to friends and family, but everyone could always use an alter ego, right?!
I originally got turned onto the paleo lifestyle by a friend of mine, Nathan Brammeier. You should really check out his blog, www.rethinktruehealth.com as well. It took a little while for me to truly embrace a paleo lifestyle, and it wasn’t until my health took a turn for the worse that I really considered making the change. As you can see I was very sick. I had finally been diagnosed with Hashimotos Hypothyroidism. And if that wasn’t bad enough, fast forward several years, and I am now currently dealing with severe adrenal fatigue as well. It’s because of these issues that I have devoted a lot of time changing the way I take care of myself, understanding that I have to start with what I eat.
Paleo is the foundation of my lifestyle. This is way of eating is really what works best for me while I try and figure out the rest. So I hope you will share in my journey to live the healthiest life that I can. And who knows, once I get the hang of this whole blogging thing, maybe I can join the ranks of my favorite paleo blogger idols too.
