It’s that time of year again and the pressure is on to find that perfect gift to impress that someone special. If they happen to be a foodie like you and me, I know you want to get them something great! For that very reason, I decided to put together my own Christmas Wishlist for the Foodie Lover in you. Most links provided are affiliate links unless otherwise noted.
Let’s start out with our favorite kitchen essentials. Some are pricey, but I also have a few affordable options as well.
Now let’s talk cookbooks. I have some absolute favorites, and I’m sure there are a few you don’t have just yet.
Ditch the Wheat – My good friend Carol put a lot of love and hard work into this book. I may have helped test a recipe or two in the process. What I can tell you is that Carol knows food and you will love this book. This book will release shortly after the new year so make sure you preorder your copy now!
Slim Palate – Josh is just an amazing guy. Finding the paleo lifestyle allowed him to lose weight and publish his first cookbook at the age of 19. The guy has an amazing palate, and his recipes are equal to his tastes. I probably pull a recipe from this book at least once a month and never go wrong. I know you will love this book.
Paleo Eats – Kelly Bejelly knows comfort food and knows how to do it right. I never thought I would have fried chicken again till I got my hands on her book. All I can say is YUM! You definitely won’t go wrong with this book.
Zenbelly Cookbook – I learned how to spatchcock a chicken thanks to Simone’s’ book. And, it’s the best chicken I have ever had. I am not big on chicken, but this chicken is the best by far. If I can say all that just about the chicken, then you definitely want everything else that is in this book. This is a must have!
One Pot Paleo – This book is easily my biggest go to next to Zenbelly. The Fajitas in this book are just amazing! Jenny really nailed the dish with the marinade. Anytime I have someone over for dinner I usually make this because of how easy and tasty it is. Check out my review on the blog and get yourself a copy.
Nom Nom Paleo – Michelle’s book is practically the holy grail of paleo cooking. Every good foodie’s library must include this book if you really consider yourself paleo. That and she’s just so fun to follow.
Paleo Takeout – Easily one of the most anticipated cookbooks of the year. I was part of Russ’s recipe testing group and made around 5 of the recipes. Everything tastes as good as you hope it will. You will find yourself repeatedly making dishes from this book for years to come. If you make the kimchi, just know that you need to burp it, and be careful when you do. I somehow managed to explode an entire batch on myself when going to burp it. After being drenched in kimchi juice, I figured out that it was done fermenting. I will never forget that for as long as I live. A definite must have!
What’s Christmas without some stocking stuffers and other great gifts for the foodie lover?
And finally some products and services that I truly love.
Grassfed/Grass-finished meat that is raised and treated the way we like is not easy to find. When you do find it, it’s nice to know where it comes from and who’s putting all the hard work and care into the meat that they deliver. This is why I love this new company Butcherbox. Butcherbox is a subscription based meat service that delivers high-quality meats directly to your doorstep.
Grassfed/Grass-Finished Gelatin is essential for great skin, hair and nails. It’s also great for joint support for the body as it gracefully ages too. I add Vital Proteins to my bulletproof coffee and smoothies on a regular basis. Not only is it great in your coffee and smoothies, but you can use it in many other recipes too. Vital proteins also offer many supplements that compliment the benefits of their gelatin that are definitely worth the investment as well. I love the versatility and quality of this product and I know you will too.
Thrive Market is the amazon of healthy food and products. If you don’t want to spend an arm and a leg for the food and products that you trust and love then you need to sign up for Thrive Market now.

Unlike coffee, it provides you with long-lasting energy without the crash or negative effects of caffeine. Choffy is richer and more robust than hot chocolate, but brews just like coffee. Containing high antioxidants and theobromine, choffy has wonderful health benefits that you won’t find in your regular cup of joe. So make the switch today to a tastier cup of coffee without all the negative side effects and crashes. I drink this daily, and it makes a great cup of bulletproof coffee too!
I hope you found some great items to get you and your loved ones for the holidays. I wish you a happy holiday’s and a happy new year. Oh and don’t forget, I could really use that Shun chef’s knife 😉
